Dhamma Reading 2025 and 2026
Starting from the 6th November, we will meet every Thursday from 1:00 to 2:30 PM for an Online Dhammapada Reading Session .
Each session includes reading approximate 8/9 verses and reflection on them, followed by discussion from each participant, silent meditation, a short Metta and sharing of merits. We will be using Gil Fronsdal translation of the Dhammapada, any version, either digital or paper, is recommended to have with you during the session. Zoom link and participation guidelines will be provided upon registration.
However, it is required to register for each session you join. As we keep the group small to create a calm and personal atmosphere, this allows everyone the opportunity to join and share the space equally. *Thursdays that overlap with other long retreats we run are exceptions that they are not mentioned in registration form.
**Dhamma teachings are offered to all for free. Donations are intended for the teacher's livelihood, nunnery facilities and maintenance: enabling us to continue with the work of sharing Buddha's Dhamma with the community. Donations received beyond necessary amount will be directed towards our priority projects which are:
1. For orphan young nuns, victum of war and earthquake in Myanmar: ''Sasana Ramsi Nunnery, Yae Ta Gung Hill, Patheingyi Township, Mandalay, Myanmar'' providing health care, shelter and education for them under the guidance of senior compassionate nuns.
2. For food bank in Lelystad. We aim to support regularly.
3. When possible, a permanent Nunnery in the Netherland: a woman-led lasting home for Dhamma study and practice, to be eventually entrusted to a future qualified Dutch nuns.
