Our Nunnery is sustained through the beautiful tradition of Dana, Giving with Heart. In this spirit, each person chooses what and how much to give, based on their own inspiration.  

One of the most meaningful ways to support the Nunnery is by becoming its regular or monthly donor by donating one or any of its essentials. This will directly support the Nunnery's daily life and brings benefit to all who rely on its presence and teachings. You are warmly welcome to choose what, how much and for how long you wish to give on following needs :

Dana opportunity list for Nunnery's monthly operational cost 

  • Nunnery's main building, compound and accommodation : fully donated for use for 5 years by a Dutch Upasika
  • Meals:  fully donated for 5 years by All unconditional alms givers and Myanmar devotees
  • Website:  fully donated for 3 years Ms Honey Oo and Singapore Dhamma-Friends 
  • Zoom:  fully donated for 1 years 
  • Utility (gas, electricity, water): 200€ per month (Dana opportunity available)
  • Internet phone:  30€ per month (Dana opportunity available)
  • Transport/fuel:  100€ per month (Dana opportunity available)
  • Printing Dhamma handout etc: 10 € per month (Dana opportunity available)
  • Housekeeping items:  70€ per month (Dana opportunity available)
  • Basic living costs of the nun/s: amount as of required by Dutch Law   (Dana opportunity available)

Volunteering

Other meaningful way to support the Nunnery is by volunteering. Below, you will find a range of areas that are essential for the Nunnery's day to day operations. You can choose and decide what is suitable to you to give to the community.

 

  • Reception and event management
  • Assisting teachers during the retreat (translation, taking some teaching tasks)
  • Website and communication
  • Gardening
